Frequently Asked Questions
To qualify under Afterpay’s US terms, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Reside within one of the 50 US states or Washington, D.C. (Afterpay is currently not available in US territories)
- Have a valid US delivery address, mobile number, and email address
- Be authorized to use an accepted US-issued debit card, credit card, or checking account.
For standard Pay in 4 orders, Afterpay accepts US-issued Mastercard and Visa debit or credit cards, Cash App Card, and US bank checking accounts. They do not accept foreign cards, savings accounts, or prepaid cards. If you use monthly financing for larger purchases, you will need to link a US-issued debit card to make payments.
Yes. You can make payments ahead of schedule anytime by logging into the Afterpay app or website and tapping "Pay Now" on your order. There are no early payoff penalties or hidden fees. On monthly plans, paying early also reduces any interest that would accrue over the life of the loan.
Yes, for larger furniture investments. In addition to their standard 4-payment plan, Afterpay offers monthly payment terms (typically 6 or 12 months for orders over $400).
Unlike Pay in 4, which is always 0% interest, monthly plans carry an interest rate based on your credit profile. You will see the exact monthly amount, loan length, and total interest clearly laid out before you agree to anything, so there are never hidden costs. Eligibility for monthly plans relies on a soft credit check that will not affect your credit score.
Afterpay is a payment platform that allows US shoppers to buy items right away and pay for them over time. The most popular option is Pay in 4, which divides your purchase into 4 equal amounts due every 14 days. For larger furniture orders, Afterpay also offers monthly installment terms with transparent interest rates clearly shown upfront.
Shop our collection, add your items to the cart, and proceed to checkout. When you reach the payment section, select Afterpay. You will be redirected to Afterpay's secure portal to log in or create an account, select your preferred payment plan, and confirm your purchase.
For standard Pay in 4, your first payment is charged immediately at checkout. The remaining three installments are automatically scheduled every 14 days over the next six weeks. For monthly financing plans, your payments are billed once a month on the date set during checkout. You can check your upcoming payment dates anytime in the Afterpay app or by logging into your account online.
If an automatic payment cannot be processed, Afterpay gives you a grace period (typically up to 10 days, depending on your state regulations) to update your payment method. If the balance remains unpaid after the grace period, a late fee may apply. Afterpay caps late fees to keep them reasonable and pauses your ability to make new purchases until your account is brought current.
Using the standard Pay in 4 plan does not impact your credit score. Afterpay does not run a hard credit check for Pay in 4, and your payment history for this plan is not reported to credit bureaus. If you choose a monthly installment plan for a higher-ticket item, Afterpay or its lending partners may run a soft credit check to determine eligibility, which does not hurt your credit score.
Your order enters our fulfillment schedule immediately after checkout. Our standard build, shipping, and white-glove delivery timelines apply just like an order paid in full with a standard credit card.
All sales follow our standard Leather & Down policy. We do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. If your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact our team right away with photos so we can inspect and resolve the issue. If an approved return or refund is processed for damaged goods, we notify us. We will cancel any remaining installments and notify afterpay and credit any money you have already paid back to your original payment method.
Yes. Spending limits vary for each customer based on account history, repayment track record, and the time you have used the service. When you select Afterpay at checkout, their system automatically calculates your approved spending limit for that transaction.
Yes. You can manage your payment methods, change your primary card, or request to move a payment date up to a few days directly inside the Afterpay mobile app or via your web account settings before the scheduled due date.
